ing to the children of Rebecca Pearis, deceased.

Premtto. Whereas it is represented to the general assembly that the chil-
dron of Rebecca Pearis, deceased, who was the daughter of Isaac
Chapman, deceased, are entitled to certain personal eu.,ate, consist-
ing of slaves, some of whmn are quite young, and ot~iers much ad-
vanced in lifle, and that by a sale of' the said slaves the interests of
the said children would be greatly promoted : Therefore,
Commksioner.lo 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That John Chapman,

the purpose, any one or more of whun may act, to sell and dispose
of the slaves derived by the said children from their grandfather,
the said Isaac Chapman, deceased, at such time, and upon such
terms, as lie or they who may act shall think most beneficial for
'rocee, how ap- those interested therein ; and the proceeds arising from such sale
pliod. the commissioner or commissioners who may act are hereby directed
to pay over to the guardian or guardians of the said children, re-
t'rovi o. spectively, according to their respective interests therein : Provided
howrier, That no such payment shall lie made to such guardian or
guardians, until lie, she or they shall have executed a new bond,
with good security, in the court of the county in which they shall
have been appointed, conditioned as other bonds of the like nature.
Iteport orcolni.q- 2. And be it furcth enacted, That such of the commissioners

ble, return to the court in .lhich the will of the said Isaac Chap-
