.An Act, appropriating the Public Rcenue.
[Passed February 22nd, 1813,j
. BI'E it enacted b the Geeral Assembly, That the taxes, and Genexal funi.,
arrearages of ttxes, not otherwise appropriated, due pri-
or to the year one thousand eight hundred and thirteen, and ti
other branches or revenue, whit~h slall arise to the common-
wealth, prior to the first day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and fourtern, and the surplus of all appropriations here-
tofore made, shall constitute a general fund, and he approprix-
ted as follows ; for the expenses of the General Assembly, so  Specific appre.

to ; for officers of the militia, including adjutant general, bri.
gade inspectors, clerks, adjutants, provosts martial, and musi-
cians, six thousand dollars ; for nilitia fine fund, carrying bri.
gade orders, regimental orders, and repair of arms, six thou-
sand dollars ; for criminal charges, including guards in the
country, twenty five thousand dollars ; for removing criminals
to the Penitentiary, five thousand five hundred dollars ; for the
internal charges of the Penitentiary, including offivers' salaries,
twelve thousaud five hundred dollars ; for slavcs executed and
slaves transported, six thousand dollars ; for the lunatic hospi-
tal, eight thousand dollars; for the public guard in Richmond,
eight thousand dollars ; for the tenth instalment to the Bank of
Virginia and interest on the same, thirty one thousand two hun.
dred dollars ; for interest on the publie debt, five thousand live
hundred dollars ; for pensioners, six thousand dollars ; for com-
missioners of the revenue, eighteen thousand dollars ; fbr the
manufactory of arms, including foundery, boring mill, and ofli-
cers' salaries, sixty five thousand dollars ; for ruunitiout, of war,
fifty thousand dollars ; for rifles to be made ueader contract vith
the Executive, five thousand dollars; for clerks' and sherifis'
fees, five hundred dollars ; for public services of clerks of cir.
cuit eourls, three thousand dollars ; for gun earriuges and the
expenses of repairing arms, seven thousand dollars ; for expen-
sCH of representation to congress and the state Senate, three
Imndred dollars - for the distribution of public arms, two thqu-
sand dollars ; ':r eoinpleting the public warchouso in Peters-
burg, six thoasand eight hundred and forty seven dollars, and
ninety eight cents ; for repairs of pubilo warehouses, five hun-
dred dollars; and for the contingent expenses of government,
,ifty thousand dollars.
2. This act shall commene and be in force from and after the Commeacement.
