. 13E it enacted by the General Asscmbly, That the pnhlio taxes I-ares for IIS
oir the year eighteen hundired mad thirteen shall be as fol-
lows. to wit: on lands for every one hundred dollars vpwIue, agree- on Lands
ably to the equalizing law, sixty four cents ; for cvery slave a- laves
bove th age of twelve years, except such as have been or may be
exempted, in consequence of age or infirmity, by the respentiveo
county or corporation courts, fifty nine cents ; for every stalli- Staions & jack

dollars, one. per centum on the value thereof; for every phaeton
and stage waggon, not exceeding, together with the harness be-
longing thereto, two hundred dollars value, two dollars and fifty
cents ; anti for every like carriage anti harness above the value
of two hundred dollars, one per centum on tme value thereof;
lor every other riding carriage, not exceeding, together with the
harness belonging thereto, three hundred dollars value, four dol-
lars ; und for such other carriages and harness as exceed three
hundred dollars value, one per centum on the value of each earri.
