An Act to incorporate the town of Rusk, in Cherokee County. 1855 60 (1855)

may be located, surveyed and patented, Upon any vacant and
unappropriatcd public land of tile State:  Said certificate
to be issued, and the land when surveyed, patented without
fees: And whereas said Elizabeth Crockett is now residing on
the Pacific Railroad reserve and wishes to remain thercui
Therefore, she is hereby authorized to locate and survey tbreu
hundred and twenty acres of land within said reserve, which
shall be patented as if no such re-serve existed.
SEC. 2. That thii act take effect and be in force fi'Qm and
after its passage.
Approved, Feb. 2nd, 1856.
CHAPTER L1V.
An Act to authorize John II, White, a IMinor, to take charge
of his Estate and transact business as though he were twenty-
one years of age.
SgcTioN 1. Be it enacted by the Iegislqture of the State of
Texa8, That John I. White, of Gonzales equnty, a minor, be,
and he is hereby rejeased from  all the legal disabilities of
minority, that he is hereby authorized to fake charge oftand
manage his estate, real and personal, and transact business and
be responsible and liable for his actions as though he were twefity
one years of age.
SEC. 2. That this act take elfect and be in force. froin and
after its passage.
Approved, February 2nd, 1856.
CHAPTER LY.
An Act to incorporate the toln of husk, in tiuerokee County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacttd by the Zegilaure qf the ASate of
Texas, That the citizens of the town of Rusk he, and they
are hereby declared a body Corporate, by the name and style of
the corporation of tie town of Rusk, and by that name may
s.e and !,,3 sued, plead an,:' be inl)leaded, and nuny hold nd
dispose of real aiic2 jelll, eState.
SiEO. 2. Thbat Ihe inuitB of sild corporation shall be bounded
with the mete,; aid bounds of -Yd town plot, as row delineated
upon the map and upon recurd in tie clerk's office, of the
Vonty Court of Cherokee County.
