any of the Judges, Justices of the Peace, officers or other corn-
potent persons whatsoever, in all actions at law, or suils in equi-
ty, i and about all things whatsoever.
Sc.o. 3. The said corporation may have a couunoll seal for
their use, and the same at their will to change, alter or make
anew from time to tine, as they may think best, and shall in
general, have and exercise all such rights, privileges, and un-
munities as are by law and custom incident and necessary to
corporations of a similar character, and that this act take effect
and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved, 28th January, 1856.
CHAPTE R XXXIV.
An lt for the relief of George L. Bledsoe.
SWcTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legi8la lure of thie State of
Texas, That the Commissioner of the General Land Office be,
and he is hereby required to issue to Goorge [. Bledsoe a cer-
tificate for two-thirds of a league and one labor of land as his
augmentation headright to which he is entitled by virtue of
havin  ngagod in the service of Texas, previous to the first
day of Mareli, A. D., 1837, and for having introduce i his fain.
ily into Texas before the first day of January, 1810, and that
the same may he located on any of the public lands, and sur-
veyed and patented as other headright certificates are located
and patented.
SEa. 2. That this act take effect and be in force friom and
after its passage.

CHAPTER XXXV.
An Act to Incorporate the City of Marshall.
StarioN 1. Be it enaoted by the Legislature of the State of
Tex., That the citizens of Marshall be, and they are hereby
declared a body Corporate, by tih name and style of the City
of Marshall, and by that name may sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded, and may hold and dispose of real and per-
sonal estate.
