Joint Resolution authorizing the Comptroller of the State of
Texas to exchange some of the public property in the City
of Austin for a certain lot and buildings adjoining the Gene-
ral Land OMe.
SICTIoN 1. Be tt resolved by the, Legislature of the Niate of
Texas, That ite (.omplrnller of the Stuie is hert-he nthorized
and empowered to purchaqe with an ncich of the pilhic property
as moy he necessary, n certain lot ofigromid and hnises adjacent
to the Generil Land Oflice, acd dispose of said buildings so as
to have them removed.
SEc. 2. lie it frther resolved, That this joint resolution take
effect itid be iii force frimt 1id after its pusbuge.

CHAPTER LI.
Joint Resolution for the relief of the heirs of Win. S. Tuten.
Whereas, William S. Titen, a soldier in the late Repuiblic of
Tixas, ettered the army ocn the 71h day of May, in the year
183t6, and died while iti the service diiring the seine year; .nd
whereas, his heirs have never received the qntily of hlind to
which lie was ectiiled as his hend-rh'ht ; iherelire,
SPCTION 1. Be it resolved by the Leoislature of the M .tate of
Texas, That the Comnissioner vf ihe Gnernl lcnd Office be,
and lie is herehy atithorized to issue to the heirs of William S.
Tuten a head-right certficate for one-third of a lectiue of hid,
which certificate may be locIted upon niiy of the victnt and un-
approprinted lartds of this State, cid on the return of the field-
notes, ard the payment ol the gnverimeet dues, shall be patented
as in other cases provided for hv law.
SEc. 2. Be it fasrther resohed, 'l'it this joint resolution take
effect aid be in force from and after its passuge.
