SEC. 2. Be it furiher ew'tlrd, 4,r. That there shall be ap- pointed in each county of this reputilic one assessor, which shall bo appointed by the county courts of the several counties, who shall require of them bond and security for their faithful per- formance, and administer to them their oaths of office, which oath shall bc the same as prcscribed for all public officers, vary- ing the same to suit their several oflices.
