The Governor of this State be requested to communicate these resolutions, by telegraph, immediately to the Presi- dent of the United States, and to each of the Governors of the Southern States. I W. Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to make inquiry of the banks for the purpose of procuring a loan for the State. Resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Ten- nessee, That His Excellency the Governor be, and he is hereby requested and authorized to make inquiry of the different banks in the State, whether or not they are wil- ling to loan the State money in the present crisis of affairs; if so, how much, and upon what terms ?
