CHAPTERt CLIV.
An Act to amend a;i act passed in 1821, chapter 4.
SECTION 1. Be it eazrcted by the General Alssembly of
Repeal     the State of Tennessee, That the above recited act shall be
so amended', as to subject all persons to the fine and penalty
thereof, who obstruct any road or roads in this state, lead-
ing from any forgo to any fiurnace, both belonging to the
same person or persons in whole or part.

CHAPTER CLV.
An Act to athori'e the superintendent of the Penitcntiary to furnish the
convicts with chewing tobacco.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General .sembly of the
State of Tennessee, That the superintendent be and lie is
hereby required to furnish each convict, now in or who may
hereafter be in the penitentiary, who is accustomed to use
tobacco, with a reasonable quantity of chewing tobacco, by
the day or week, in which together with the purchase he
will use a prudent discretion.

CHAPTER CLVI.
An Act to extend the jurisdiction of the Circuit Courts.
SEcTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
ro have concur. the State of Tennessee, That the circuit courts shall have
rent jurisdiction concurrent jurisdiction with the chancery courts of all cases
ourtsonncery of petitions or bills, for the division of slaves or other per-
sonal property, and shall decree accordingly.
