Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, That it shall be the duty of the treasur. er, of ,Middle Tennessee, to pay to the treasurer of said society for the use of said society, ten dollars for each free black person that said treasurer of said society shall cer- tify to said treasurer of Middle Tennessee, has been re- moved by said society, its auxiliaries or branches, from the State of Tennessee to the coast of Africa, and this act is to extend to the future operations of the said society only: Provided, always, that the amount so to be paid by the treasurer of Middle Tennessee, to the treasurer of said society shall never exceed, under the provisions of this act, the sum of five hundred dollars in any one year.
