Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ten- nessee, That Joshua Thurman, a free man of color, of Hardeman couuty, be, and he is hereby, authorized to emancipate his sister Harriet, now the slave of said Josh- ua, without being compelled to send her out of the State: Provided, he gives bond and approved security that she shall not become a public charge. Seaboin, decesed, of Marion county. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ten- nessee, That the executors of John Seabourn, have the terms of one, two and three years, to pay the debt due from said estate to - the Bank of the State of Ten- nessee, to fall due and be payable in three equal annual instalments, with interest: Provided, however, the said ex- ecutors do execute bond with good and sufficient security for the payment of said debt. An Act to amend an act, entitled an act to extend the limits of the cor- poration of the town of Memphis, and for other purposes, passed Oc- tober 19, 1832. i. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of t4e Bounds of State of Tennessee, That the corporation of the town of Memphis. Memphis shall be extended down the Mississippi river to a point opposite the end of Union street, thence with said street to a point opposite the south eastern corner of said corporation, thence on a straight line to said corner. 18 Digitized from Best Copy Available
