Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ten- nessee, That William Bishop,jailerof Dickson county, be, and he i5 hereby, allowed the sum of sixty-two dollars, eighty-seven and a half cents, foi the keeping of James Hales in the common jail of said county, on an indictment for grand larceny, and that the Treasurer of Middle Ten- nessee be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay the same out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Be it.enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ten- nessee, That the county court of Davidson county, be au. thorized and directed to emancipate James, a slave, late the property of James Wilcox, deceased: Provided, it ap- pears to said court, that said James Wilcox, by his will, authorized or directed said slave to be set free: And provi- ded also, that bond and security be given according to the provisions of the act of 1801.
