It shall also be the duty of the Clerks aforesaid, to enter upon their execution dockets the receipts and dates thereof of all monies paid into their offices, to be entered at the time the same shall be received; and also to enter all sums which shall by them be paid out of office and the date thereof. Snc. 3. Be it enacted, That when any Clerk shall fail renewy rer rail. to perform the duties prescribed in the first and second** sections of this act, he shall forfeit and pay the sum of twenty-five dollars, one half to the informer, the other half to the State, to be recovered before any Justice of the Peace in the county in which such delinquency shall happen; and said Clerks shall be moreover liable to in- dictment, and on conviction shall be liable to be remov- ed from office.
