S.c. 2. 3e it enacted,.That all s des that mayhereafter
be, made, before the hotr of ten or after sun set, shall be
void,any law, 'usage or custom to the contrary notwith-
standing..

day of September, 1806..1
B H it enacted by the General Asvenly of
r    the State of Tennessee, That the second
section of said act, be, and the same is hereby r~pealed;
aid diat if any free negro or mulatto, shall hereafter be Free negro.
found traveling out of the county where he or she may
reside, without any lawful business, or be found itaering
*bout without ;pny occupation, without a copy of the re-
gister of his or her freedom, as required,in the first secti-
on of said acti-it shall and may be lawful foi any justice
ofthe peace, 04 complaint made to him, orfrom his own
klowledge ofa'id fact, to require security of said ,negro
or imilatto for his, or her good behaviour, until said re-
ghter can bp obtained; and incase of his or her failing
give such secury, to commit said negro or niulattb,
