A.D. 1S6.  same, in which- cas6 both affidavits shall b6 pubmitted as evidence to
the considorition of the jury: And provided, also, That in addition to
the evidence allowed abovi, all common law evidence shall be bdmitted
in said ease.
Duties f com- IV. That when any association of indii idnals, 1not living a charter

the Clcrks of Common Pleas and General ossions in this State, of the
names and residences of the parties interested in the business of
earrying, the said list to appear at least once in two months during
the tiue they are engaged in said business, and all personis thus
engaged in the business of cotmmon carriork, failing to make such
publication, shall be deemed guilty of a nziemcanor, and liable, to
indietment.

Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-throo, and in the eighty-
eighth year of the sovereigity and independence of the State of
South Carolina.

same, Thqt an Act, entitlec iAn Act to increase the fe'of Sheriffs
for dieting iersons confined in jail, ratified on the sixth day of
February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-three, be, and the sime is hereby, altered and arnended to road
as follows, to wit; That the .Sheriffs shall hereafter be entitled to
charge and. receive, for dieting white persons confined in jail, one
dollar per day, each; and for dieting slaves or free. persons of color,
eighty cents per day, each.
