FROM ENTERING INTO THIS STATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, PASS- No. 3044.
ED THE NINETEENTH DAY oF DEcEinER, IN THE YEAR OF out LORD
ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE.
Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met Act Amended.
and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That
from and after the passing of this Act, the port of Baltimore, and ill the
ports on the Chesapeake, in the State of Maryland, shall be placed on the
same footing as the States south of the Potomac, with regard to Slaves
and persons of color generally, who may come or be brought into the
ports or places of this State, from the said port of :Bultimore, or the other
ports on the Chesapeake, in the State of Maryland.
In the Senate House, the nineteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, and in the seventy-third year
of the Sovereignty and Independence of thaUnited States of America.

USE OF A VACANT LOT, IN TiE TOWN OF COLUMBIA,- TO THE PAL-
METTO LODGE, No. 5, OF THE INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELL-
LOWS, ON CERTAIN CONDITIONS, PASSED 17'Tn DEC., 1847.
Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met Rates of Tui-

That so much of an Act, entitled  An Act to grant the use of a vacant
Lot, in the Town of Columbia, to the Palmetto Lodge, No. 5, of the In-
dependent Order of Odd Fellows, on certain conditions, passed 17th
December, A. D. 1847, as provides that the rates of Tuition to be charged
in the said School, shall not exceed the annual sum of twenty-five dollars,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
In the Senate House, the nineteenth day of December,in the year of our Lord,
one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, and in the seventy-third year
