A. D. 1844.          AN ACT. To GIRANT A PENSION TO ELIZABETll BROWN.
No. 2945.    Be at enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met and
mount of  sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That a Pusion
sion, ~c. of One Hundred Dollars per annum be and the same is hereby granted to
Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, the daughter of Strgeant Jasper, for and during the
priod of her natural lifb ; and that the same be paid quarterly, and to com-
mance on the Ist day of March, 1844.
In the Senate House, the eighteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty-four, and in the sixty-ninth year of the Sovereignty
and Independence of the United States of America.

SLAVE.
Be it enacted, by the Senato and House of Representatives, now met

Jones be permitted to bring back into tle State his Slave Cnto, carried out of'
the State for a limited time-exempt from tbo peinalties of on Act entitled an
Act more et'ctually to prevent Free Negroes and other Persons of' Color
from entering into this State, passed the nineteenth day of December, Anno
Domini cighteen hundred and thirty-five.
In the Senate House, the eighteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty-four, and in the sixty-ninth year of the Sovereignty
and Independence of the United States of America.

HOUSE AND LOT IN THE VILLAGE OF DARLINGTON, IN JAMES BELL.
Be it enacted, by the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives,
now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same,
s conveyd That all the right, title and interest of the State in and to a certain House anid
B. W      Lot in the Village of Darlington, conveyed by Bright Williamson to James
mson.    Bell, on the eighteenth lay of September, one thousand eight hundred and
forty-three, be and the same is hereby vested in the said James Bell, and his
heirs, forever.
In the Senate House, the eighteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eightthundred and forty-four, and in the sixty-ninth year of the Sovereignty
and Independence of the United States of America.
