Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of R-presentatives, now met and No. 2921.

has signified his intention to become a citizen of lie United States, to be ad-
mitted to practice in the Courts of Law and Equity, oni the same conditions
as a'o required of a citizen of this State, atnd upon his taking the oath of al.
legiantice to this State.

Be it enacted, by the Senate anid House of R1epresentatives, now met and
sitting in General Assemblv, and by the authority of' the saie, That a tax

heretofore established ; one half cenit per tcie on all  laid lying within the Catawbalands.
0'itawba Indian bomlaryw, to bo paid by each grantee or lessee of said Indian
lands, until otherwise directed by law ; fifty.five cotis per head on all Slaves; s!nves:
two dollars on each Fre Negro, Mulatto and Mu-stizoo, between the ages of Free Negroes:
