ADDITIONAL RECORDER FOR THE CITY OF CHARLESTON, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
Power, nasho-  I Be it esacned, by the Snate and H3use of Represontatives, now mot

diction,    and sitting in Genral Assemblv, and by the authority of the same, That the
City Council of' Charleston be, and they are hereby authorized, to clect an
additional Recorder of' tho City of' Charleston, who shall hold and preside
over the City Court, as one of the Judges thereof, and who shall have and ex.
ercise, all the powers, authority, and jurisdiction that are now, by law, vested
