In the House of Representatives, Dec. 13, 1838.
The committee on Claims, to whom was referred the petition of Andrew
Toland, praying compensation for a Slave executed, have had the same under
consideration, and find that the petitioner is entitled to compensation under an
Act of the Legislature, and thercfore recomrnund that he be allowed the sum
of onre hundred and twenty-two dollars and fifty cents.
.Resolved, That the Flouse do agree to the report. Ordered, That it be
ent to the Senate for concurrence.

In Senate, Dec. 19, 1838.
Resolved, That Senate do concur.  Ordered, it be returned to the House
of Representatives.

In thI-e House of Representatives, Dec. 13, 1838.
The committee on Claims, to whom was ruerred the account of Thomas
Davis, for repairs and white-washing the plastering oflthe fHall of the I-louse
of Representatives, have considered the same, and find that it was done on a
contract with Mr. Clark, under a resolution of the Legislature, and therefore
recommend that the sum of thirty dollars be paid the said Thomas Davis, in
full of his account.
Resolved, That the House do agree to the report. Ordered, that itbesent
to the 8enate for concurrence.
n Senate, Dec. 19, 1838.
Resolved, That Senate do concur.  Ordered, it be returned to tbe House
of Iepresentatives.

The committee on Claims, to whom was referred the account of A. :8.
Johnson, for printing, have had the same under consideration, and after  due
care in the examination of the same, find it to be -correct, and rocommendith
sum of ($336 88) three hundred and thirty.six d'illars and eighty-eight.cents,
be paid the said A. S. Johnson, in full of the same.
Resolved. That the Hause do agree to the report. -Ordered, that it be sent
to the Seniate for concurrence.

of A. C. Jones, have considered the same,.and find that itais for carrying a
prisoner belb re a Jury, on a writ of habeas corpus, who was afterwards, tried
and acquitted, and therefore recommend that the sum of($16).sixteendollar,
be allowed the said A. C. Joncs,in full of his account.
