In the Ilouse of Re>resentatives, Dec. 16, 1835.
Tile Abbeville Delegation to whom were referred the Report of the Trustees of
the estate of Doctor John Do La Howe, in Abbeville District, with accompanying ex-
hibits: and the memorial of Doct. J. S. Whitten, respecting the De La Howe
School, beg leave to Repot:-That they have considered the same, and find the
statement of accounts made by the Trustees to be correct. From it the following
results are obtained.
Amount of the estate of Doctor Do La Howe,
by the return of last year,                               $40782 12;
Interest received since that return,                3222 261
Received for horse sold, and hire of negro,           58 33
3280 59.
Commissioners of Treasurer,                384 82
Paid for services of Trustecs, in year 1835,  40 00
Paid services of a Trustee, in fbrmer years,  51 00
Salary of Superintendant,                  700 00
Hire of 3 negroes,                         260 00
Salary of teacher,                         275 00
Of t1e expenditures for corn, bacon. clothing and

Your Committee recommend the following suggesions to the Trustees.
That the Trustees have annually a public exanination of the pupils, and exhibi-
tion of the farm, stock and other appurtenances, to which the Delegation of Abbe-
ville District, shall be specially invited.
That the. Trustoes prepare a compilation containing the will of Doctor Do La
Howe, a history of tie mahiagement of the estate, all tho acts and resolutions of
the Legislature relating to the estate, and a biographical memoir of Doctor De La
Howe .-which from their funds they shall have printed in pamphlet form, -and
fifty copies thereof, deposited in the Legislative Library.
Resolved, That the House do agree.  Ordered it be sent to the Senate for con-

In Senate, Dec. 17, 1835.
Resolved, That the Senate do concur. Ordered it be returned to the House of

GOVERNOR'S ACCOUNTS.
In the House of. Representatives, Dec. 19, 1835.
The Committee appointed to examine the accounts of the Governor, report:-
that theyhave performed that duty, find the accounts correct and properly vouched,
and that the balance standing to his credit, is the sum of one thousand four hun-
dred and eighty four dollars, and six and one-forth cents.
Resolved, That the House do agree. Ordered to-the Senate for concurrence.
