In Senate, Decembier 9, 1834.
The committee on claims, to which was referred the petition of the town council
of Georgetown, praying that negroes Jack and Tom inay he rewarded fer takinig
and dispersing a gang of runaways -who had murdered their niaster, report:-That
they have had the same under consideration, and beg leave tb recommend that the
suL of one hundred dollars be paid to E. Waterman, or his lawful attorney, to be
applied solely to the benefit of negroes Jack and Tom, and to be equally divided
betwocn the said negroes.
Resolved, That the Senate do agree. Ordered to the House of Representatives

The conunittee on pdnsions to wbom was referred the petition of Judith Row-
land, praying to be placed on the pension roll, have had the same under considera-
tion, and are af opimon the prayer of the petitioner ought to be granted, and recom-
mend that said Judith Rowland be placed on the pension roll, aid the sum of thirty
dollars be appropriated for the same.
Resolved, That the Senate do agree. Ordered to the House of Representatives

In Senate, November 29, 1834.
The committee on roads, bridges and ferries, to which was referred the petition
of Richard, Elizabeth P. and Savage Minus, praying a re-charter of the lridge over
the four hole swamp, report: That they have duly considered the same, and re-
commend the grant of a charter to the petitioners for seven years, at the same rates
of toll heretofore received by them, on condition that Thonua l-Iyat be permitted to
cross at all times free of toll.
The committee on roads, bridges and ferries, to -which was referred the petition
of Barbary Chandless, praying for a re-charter of Slann's bridge, report: That they
hMave had the same under their consideration, and recommend that the said bridge
be re-chartered and vested in your petitioner for the term of seven years, at the
same rates of toll as heretofore allowed by law.
The committee on roads, bridges and feriies, to which was referred the petition
ofsundry inhabitants of St. Peter's parish, praying a grant of a new road,; re spcct-
fully report, That they have had the matter under their consideration, aixd recom-
mnend that the prayer thereof be granted, and that William T. Johnson, Thomas
Willingham, Jesse Deloach, and Martin Shuman, be appointed commissioners to
openi and establish the same.
Resolved, That the Senate do agree to the reports. Ordered to the House of Re-
