COMPTROLLER GENERAL'S REPORT.
South Carolina-To the Honorable the Senate and House
of Representatives,
No. 1. Shows the receipts and payments at the lower
Treasury, between the last day of September, 1832, and the
first day of October, 1833, leaving a balance in favor of the
State, of one hundred thousand eight hundred and fifty-four
dollars and seventy-three cents.
No. 2. Is a like Exhibit from the Upper Treasury for the
same period, leaving a balance also in favor of the State of
sixty-one thousand one hundred and eighty-two dollars and
ninety-nine cents.
No. 3. Covers the monthly reports of the Treasurer of
the Lower Division for the last fiscal year.
No. 4. Are similar reports from the upper Treasury for
the same period.
No. 5. Is a table of taxes of the Upper Division.
No. 6. Is a table of taxes of the Lower Division.
No. 7. Is a statement of the paper medium.
No. 8. Is a report on the sinking fund.
No. 9. Covers reports from Commissioners of free schools
for St. Andrews and St. Helena Parishes.
No. 10. Is a statement of balances due to, and by the State.
No. 11. Contains reports from Commissioners of the poor
for the Districts of Lancaster, Pendleton, Chester, Lexington,
and Spartenburg, and Orange Parish.
No. 12. Is an account of fines and forfeitures by the Clerk
of Anderson Distridt.
No. 13. Covers reports from sundry Commissioners of
roads.
No. 14. Is the report and account of th Commissioner of
