other property whatever, which may on the dissolution .of said
in case of corporation, beowned or possessed by it, shall be held by the

Sirc. 24. That the said Bank shall not be authorized to issue
bills under the, denomination of five dollars.

S.Lc. . Be it enuctkd by the Honorable the &Snae and
House of Rejpresentatives, nzow  met and sittig in General
mhe of the 1s.senbly, That in all questions on.complaint between mas-
Ii~iinteritil  ter 'and apprentice ; in all cases of holding qver after deter-
ag I   ie.  nination of lease, between landlord and tenant, under an act
passed in 1812, entitled An Act to afford landlords;or lessors
an expeditious and summary mode p' gaining re-possession
from tenants or lessees who.shall hold over after determina-
tion of their leases, and the amendat6y act passed in 1817
and in all cases of forcible' entry and detainer, it shall be the
exclusive duty of the ministerial magistrate to prepare the
icase for trial, summon the parties, present the cause for dock-
eting, attend and conduct the trial as proseputing officer, ex-
actly as is 'now  done by them on the trial of slaves and free
persons of color ; and' it shalj be the duty of thq judicial ma-
gistrates to open a docket book for these three classes of ca-
sbs, and be governed in all things relating thereto,-as they are
reqired to be on the trial of slaves and free persons of color.
The dompensation of the judi'cial magistrate and his colleagues
shall be to each, the sum of five dollars, and that of the minis.
torial niagistrate, five dollars, in lieu of all other char-ges, the
costs to be paid by the prty cast in the suit,-Provided al-
ways, if the defendent should be cast in the suit, and. should
prove unable to.pay the costs, nothing herein contained shall
prevent the plaintiflfrom being liable for the said costs as well
is those.aceruing to the constable.
