praying for a pausion, recotnmend that the prayer of the peltion be granted.

ing for a pension, recominand that the prayer of the petition be granted.
The commitee on pensions, to whom was referred the petition of David McDonald,
praying for aitpansion, reconend, that the prayer ofthe petition be granted.
The committeoon pensions, to whom was referred the petition of Joseph Watford,
praying tr a pension, recomnmend that the prayer of the petition be granted.
The commitite on pensions, to whom was referred the petition of Elizabeth Davis,
praying to be placed on the pension list, recommend that the petitioner be placed Oin
pension roll at thirty dollars per annum.
Tiho comnittee on pensions, to whom was referred the petition of Margaret Lathan),
executrix of John Lathum, deceased, praying that the griearages of pension due to said
John Latham, at the time of his death, may be paid to her as executrix, recommend that
the prayer of the petition be granted, and that the Treasurer be authorised to pay to the
petitioner, as executrix aforesaid, whatever amtount of pension (if any) may have been
fue to her testator on 12th October, IS31, when lie died, if the same be unpaid.
The comiititee on pensions to wiom was referred the petition of Priscilla MeWaters,
praying for one year's arrearagos of pension, Recommend, that the petitioner be al-
lowed to receive the aiount of one )ar's back pension, aind that she be placed on the
pension list, at thirty dollars per annum.

The committee ont claims to whom was referred the petition of Hobert A. Cumiintttg-
ham, praying payment fbr a negro executed, recommend that the prayer of the peti-
tion be granted, and that the usual appropriation of one hundred and twenty-two dol-
lars and 42 cents be made for the petitioner.
The committee on claims, to whom was referred the petition of G. S. McLean pray-
ing for compensation for a negro executed, recommeid that the prayer of the petition
le granted,. and dint the usual appropriation of one hundred and tweinty-two dollars .12

Lockhart and Mary Locklari, praying compensation for a Slave executed,
.teport: That they have considered the sane and recommend that the pray-
er thereof be granted, and that the usual approprinttion of one hundred and
twenty-two dollars 42 cents be made lir the petitioners.

c:onsidered the same, and find that ta negro named Joe was committed to the
Jtil of Newberry, as a runaway, oni 8th Seopteibin, 1831; that he was ad-
vertised hile timie directed by law, and no porson claiming lie was sold for the
stUn of thirty-five dollars. It was proved to the satisfhcrion of the committee
ihat the expense incurred by the petitioner for the apprehending and 1main-
tenance of the said negro, amounted to the sum of seventy-eight dollars forty-
hthren cents, vhtich exceeled tlie atimotint for which he sold, by the s1ini of
