1TIE Medical Committec, to whoni was roferred the petition of'Dr. Andeirson, have
had the samlie under consideration, and beg leave to Report, that the prayer thereof
be graited.
Resolved, ''hat the House do agree to the report. Ordered, That it be sent to the
Senate for concurrence.

THE Medical Committee, to whomn was referred the memoial of Drs. Scott and
Weatherspoon, have had the name under consideration, and beg leave to Repor:, that
the prayer thereof, amounting to four dollars and fifty cents, be granted.

Senate fow concurrence.

thet:-About the time ofthe contemplated insurrection of slaves in the. city of Charles-
ton, the petitioner, with certain others, seized somne hores on th: plantatlbln o Mr.
Blake, which thL-y believed to be the propperty of certail s!av-s, an3d with which it was
apprehended they intended tmakin ig their escape. The horses were carried befoe a
magistrate, condemned, and sold. aiId the money still remnai ns itt the hands of thie ma-
gistrate, who holds himself bound to pay it over to the State.
Mr. Clark was then sued by Mr. Blake, in an action of trespass for entering his
plantation And carrying off his horses, and on the trial obtaintd dainiges to the amollt
of two hundred dollars, from which it appears the whole was a-high-baided and ill
gal proceeditg-your Committee therefore recommend the adoption othe fillowing
resolution -
Resolved, That the State has no claim whatsoever to anly of the money arising froni
the sale of said horses.
Resolved, That the [louse do agree to the report. Oidered, That it lie sent to the
Senate for concurrence.
