the Gjn.ilr hot r' v  CovtoIn district, respechlfnly l -pirt, that they have duly consider-
ed the saie, and Ir'ecoliunenild the adoption of the following resoluiion ;-
Resohrd, That if' the Contriactor for the bilding said Gaol, shall not complete tie
samlIe according to his conract, within six iontis lon this dale, it shall be the duty of
the Cotnnissioners of P'lic uildings for said district, to place his obligation in the
hand~ls of tie Solicitor of aid diitrict for inforcinhg the penalty due for neglect of duty
in not  limshing a'id Gatil within the tine pieLcscrbed by said contract.
Resolvgd. That this I fouse (to agree to the report. Ordered, That it be sent to the
House of' ltiesiittilea fir concurrence.

plyedi for that puilpos. inl tie prosecution of the work hitherto pert'hrmed under alp,
pubtnis lt of the ComnissiOners, and reconmuend the completion of the sane. The
Coiinmhtve are firther of opiion, that there ought to be an index prepared of the
public grants it hile Secretary 's uticffie at Charl t'.ton, and that Alarthi Stroble he u p.
pointed to excute the samie, under contract with the Commitissioners making this
report, at tle rates paid to Mr. Stroble.
Resqdved, That Senate do agree to the report. Ordered, That it be sent to the
House of Representatives fh concurrence.

ing compensation for in-dicU services rendered prisoners in Georgetown Jail, beg
leave to recotnend the payment offorty-five dollars 84A cents oil said petition.
Reslved, That the House do agree to the report. Ordered, That it be seit to the
Senate for conciience.
