THE Committee of Ways and Means, to whom was reti-rred lhe petition of Michael
J; O'Brien, pl:ying a revmsuits of a double tax, respec.thily Report, that they have
considlered the same, and are i fopinion that the prayer of the petitioner ought to be
granted, they therefore reclniunend that provision be nade by law for the re-payment
to the said petitioner of$75 84-100, that being the amount which it appears to the Com-
tuittec that the petitioner has paid over and above the amount of his single taxes
and costs. .
Resolved, That the louqe do agree to the report. . Ordered, That it be sent to the
Senate fbr concitirrence.

ftiii, and recommemnl that one hundredi and twenty-two dollars and forty-four cents be
appropriated therefor.
