[Sec. 1.] Be it. enacted by the hnorable the Senale and
Hu-se of Representatives, wIoo met and sahing in Genieral
Assembly, and by the aidhoritU oj the vame, That the
following sums be appro)riat d lur the salaries of the pub-
lic officers, and for other purposes therein mentioned :
For the salary of the Governor, three thousand five
hundred dollars.
For the Secrctary of the Governor, four hundred and
thirty dollars.
For the salaries of six Judges of the court of Common
Pleas, each, three thousul five huhdred dollars.
For the saliry of one Judge of the court of Conimmon
Pleas, two thousand five IIudred and seventy-two doilars.
For the salary of five julges of the court of Equity,
each, three thousand five hundred dollars.
For the salary of the Attorney-general, twelve hundrcd
dollars.
For the salary of the Con ptroller-gcneral, stationary
included, two thiusand five hunded d-l  ulars.
For the salay of n Clerk to tle Comptialler-general,
one thousand dollars ; which Clerk shall be appoinlte d
ntd r-movable at the pleasure of the Comptroller-ge.nLral.
For the salary oa five Circuit Solicitors, i) lieu of all
chirgvs against the state, for the pe fOrrmince of every
thing app'rtIaining to their office, each, seven hundred dol-
laTs.
For the salary of the Treasurer in Charleston, and for
transacting the business of the Loan Ofiier, five and
sin per ce it. stuck of the state, and for Clerks, three thou-
sand dollars.
For the Treasurer in Columbia, including Clei ks, two
thousand dollars.
For the salary of the Clerks of the senate and house of
representatives, each, twelve hundred and thirty dollars
to be paid at tile adjournment of the legislature.
For a contingent fund, subject to the droft of the Gov-
ernor, for the expenditure o which he shall submit an ac-
count annually to the legisliture, six thousand dollars.
For the transient poor, payable to the city council of
Charleston, twelve thousand dollars.
For the expenses cf the Mt mbers of the legislature, du-
ring the present session, and for the pay (f the Solicitors
for their attendance, eighteen thousand dollars, if so much
be Iecessary.
