to the venchie act, passed the seventeeth day of March,. in the year
of our Lord one thoutiaid seven hundred and cighty-live, giving the
owners of property disposed of hy vendrie-masters or auctioneers,
summary redress against thern for tihe amount ofthe sales thereof.
[Sec. 1.] Be it enacted'bU the honorable the Senate and
Houte of Repesentatives, now met and .virting in General
Asembilq, and by the authority of Ihe same, That Iromt
and alter the passing of this act, so mich ofI ro act passed
in December, one thousaud 'ight hundred and fifteen, en-
titled, an act supplenentary to the v'endue act, as deprives
auctioneers from recriviong the benefit of the insolvent
debtors and prison bound acts, be, and the same is hereby
repealed.
Sec. 2. And ke it further enarted, That any citizen of
this state shall be at liberty to sell, at auction, either his
own or the property of any other person : Provided he se-
cures to the state or citY, as the case may Le, the duties
which are or may be impomed by n;iw on sales at auction.
Sec. 3. 'And be itfiirther enacted, That every vendue-
master and auctioneer, b-fore h' -hall act in such capacity,
be compelled to give to the council of the city or town
wThere he may reside. full and unmple security for the due
and faithful pierlfrmance oflhis duty as atctioneer or ven-
due-master, as the case may be.

(Sec. 1.] Be it enacted by the honorab/e the Senate, and

public works following. that is to say, one board to be cail-
ed the commissioners of the Columbia and Saluda cana'ls,
who shall have charge of the Colutiia, Saluda, and Bull
Sluice canals, and all the works ani property attached
thereto ; one other board, to be called the commissioners
of the Drehr's canal, who shall have charge of the said
