ier subject to the payment of taxes, and liable to mili-
tia, and all other duties, and subjct to ail law s to w% hich
the citizens of the said district of Pndileton now are,
or may hereafter be subjected or made liable to, under
the laws of this state.
And be it further enactedby the authority aforesaid,
That the governor be and he is hereby authorized and
cmpowered to nominate 4.nd appoint three commissi-
oners to make an actual survey and demarcation of the
lines and boundaries mentioned and contained in the
said treaty, as circumscribing the lands ceded to this
state by the said treaty, and that the said commission-
ers shall cause and procure all the lands mentioned
within the said treaty aforesaid, to be surveyed and plat-
ed off into tracts containing not less than one hundrid
acres, nor more than five hundred acres; and that they
return a plat of the said territory so ceded as afore said,
to the legislature of this state at their next meeting; and
for that purpose, the said commissioners are herchy au-
thorized and empowered to employ one or more sur-
veyor or surveyors, if more than one should by them
be thought necessary, to complete the said survey be-
fore the next meeting of th legislature.  .
And be it further enarted by the authority aforesaid,
That the expenses to be incurred in making the said
survey, and all other incidental expenses, shall be paid
by the governor, out of the contingent fund.
And be itftrther enacted by the authority aforesaid,
That for the performance of militia and patrol duty,
the inhabitants of said ceded territory be add< d to the
cighteenth and Pineteenth regiments of militia, the
commanders of which are hereby authorized to di-
vide the said territory into companies.

Forty-first Year of the Ihpendenge of the United States of
