SOUTH-CAROLINA.
To the honorable JoHN GEI)DEs, Esq. Speaker, and the other Meni-
bers of the honorable the House of Representatives of the State
aforesaid.
The ComPrROLLER-GENERAL respectfully submitfor theconsidera-
lion of your hcnorablc Haiiae the folloing Exhibite and Report:
NT0. 1, Shews the Receipts and Payments atthe lower Treasu-
ry between the last day of September 18 12, and the first day
of October 1813, leang a balance of eighty four thousand eight
hundred and eight dollars fifty-seven cents, which is in deposit ii
the Bank of the State of South-Carolina.
No. 2, Is a like exhibit firom the Upper Treasury for the same
period, leavfig a balance on the'last mentioned day of nincteentthou-
sand six ht.idred and sixty-ive dollat s twenty-seven cents.
No. 3, Are copies of the Treasurers monthly Reports of the Low.
er Division, upon which the exhibit No. 1, is faunded.
No. 4, Are similar copies of the Reports of the Upper Treasury,
upon which the exhibit No. 2, is founded.
No. 5, Is an estimate of the Public Debt on the first day of Octo-
ber last.
No. 6, Is a statement and certificate of the Funded Debt of this
state, with all the redemptions to first October last.
No. 7, Is a special exhibit showing in a particular manner the
taxahle property returned in each Coll6ction District of this state,
with the valuation thereof as assessed by the Collectors and the nett
aiount of tax produced thereby. The property belonging to the
several districts returned oult of them is particularly noticed with
the tax which it 1 roduces.
No. 8, I's a book illustrative of exhIbit No. 7.
No. 9,. Is a statement of the Paper Medium Bonds, by which it
appears that there vas a bulance due on them on first October last,
bff'25,906 9 4, equal to one hundred and eleven thousand and tweti-
ty -seven dollars sevent -th ree cents.
No. 10, Is an exhibit showing the tax produced on Lands, Ne-
groes, Stock in Trade, Sc. respectively, under the Tax Act of 1812.
No. 11, Is a certificate of the Treasurer, sho;ving that there is ia
the Treasury the sum ofL'78, ii paper mediuim, equal to 73.334 28,
