An ACT to raise Sipplies for te Year one thou-
sand eight hunch ed and ine, and for other pur-
powev therein mentioned.
B3E it enacted by the honordble the Senate and
House of Representatwe, now met and sit-
ting i General Assembly, and by the authority of
the same, That a tax for the sums und in the man- Tato b'
ner herein after mentioned, shall be aised and 1iid raased
into the public treasury of this state, and'for the,
use and ,ei vice thercol.
.And be at enacted by the authoruy qforesaid,
That fifteen cents per centum ad ialorem, be paid 15 cents
in specie or paper medium, on all lands granted 2d le.

Class No. 1, Shall contain all tide swamp of
the flist quality, not geperall) afected by the salts
or freshes, v hich shall be rated at to cnty-six dol-
lais pu acre; all tide swdnip of the second quality,

,hall be rated at seventeen dollars per aci c; all tidc
swamp of the thu d quahty, not genie ally affected

be rated at two dollars per acre; all prime inland
swamp, cultivated and uncultivited, which shall
be rated at an average of thii teen dollars per acre;
