RESOLUTIONS:
DECEMBER SESSION, I80i.
In the House of Representatives, Decenber 18, 1801.
D ESOLVED, That the eleilions to be held on the second
LMonday of Otober next, being the eleventh day of -the
sai d month, and on the day follow'ing, for senitors and muem-
hers of the house of representatives, shall be held at the fol-
oinig places, and conduaed by the following persons, viz.
For Cha)dest'2n, including the parishes of St. 1hilip and St.
Miciael, at the City Exchange-managers, Joseph Vesey,
Edtward Trescott, Jervis H. Stevens and Robert Howard.
One senator to be ele6ed for four years, in addition to the
constitutional number of representamves.
For C hrist Church, at the house fermerly of James G. Eden
-managers, Ihomas Jones Barksdale and Arnoldus Bonneau.
The constitutional number of representatives to be eleSLd.
For St. /ohn, BerlUy, at the parish building addoining to
Biggen Cliurch-managers, Paul de St. Julien Ravenell aid
William N. Mitchell. At a building to be erelled near to the
spring, on the field called the Muster Eield, in the upper part
of the-said election distial: but in case the said building
should not be cre&e'd, the election shall be held at the house
called the Forty-five Mile. House-managers, James Gray
Wiare nd George Porcher. One senator to be elected, and
the constitutional number of rcpresentatives. The respe~live
managers to meet on the third day at the parish building near to
Biggen church,'to count over thevotes and declare the election.
For St. Andrew's, at the Episcopal church on the Nlkain,
and at the Chapel on James Island-to be managed and con-
du ed by the church wardens at the church ; and on the Island,
by William Royall and Francis Rivers, jun. To eledl the
constitutional number of representatives. The managers to
meet the day after the eleCion at the Episcopal church on the
Main, to count over the votes and declare the cleffion.
For St. George, Dorchester, at the tavern commonly called
Roswell's tavern, near the village of Dorchester-managers,
William Morgan, and James Stewart of Pine land. At Har-
ley's tavern-managers, John Sheiders and- Thomas Bro-
