R~hiuddir- riff of Richland difiria, to- attend at every meeting and fitting of the
n efaid judges, after the concluflon of the circuits, to perform fuch official
frvicei as by the faid judges fhall be required; and he therefor fiall
be allowed annually the. fum of fifty dollars.
n         And be it furiher enabled by the authorily aforefaid, That all aas, laws
and parts of aas, that are contrary to this ad, or repuignant to the true
intent and meaning thereof, fhall be, and the f ame are hereby reptaled.

famie, That a tax for the thtnis, arid in the manner herein after mention-
ed, lihall be raifed and paid into the public treafiury of this fhte, for
the ufe and fervice thereof.
And be it firthie  euialled by the authority aforefaid,. That -the furm of
a irate twenty-five cents, per centurn, ad valoreirf, Ihall be paid in fpecie or
('1 JNO. I.  paper medium, on all lands granted in. this fate, under'the feveral re-
gulations hereafter expreffed; that is to fay, Clafs No. !, thall contain
all tide fwanp of the firft quality, not generally affeaed by 'the fllts or
frefhes, which fhall be rated at twenty-fix dollars per acre; all tide
.fivanp of the fecond quality, not generally affeaed by falts or frefhes,
which thall be rated at feventeen dollars per acre; all tide fwamp of
the third quality, not generally affected by the falts or freflies, which
thall be rated at eight and one half dollars *per acre; all pine-
barren land adjoining. faich fivamps, and having the benefit of water
carriage, which fhall be rated at two dollars per acre ; all prime inland
fwamp, cultivated and uncultivated, which fhall be rated at an average
of thirteen dollars per acre ; all inland fivamp, of the fecond qtrality,
which thall be ratcd at cight and one half dollars per acre; all inland
