Haywood Edmundson and William A. Darden, Jr., be and
they are hereby appointed commissioners to run and establish
the dividing line between the counties of Wayne and Greene,
beginning at the corner in the north prong of Bear Crook (or
at a point as near said corner as may be established), and run
a north course to Great Contentnea Creek, according to an act
of the General Assembly, passed at the session of 1779, enti-
tied on act for dividing the county of Dobbs, and that the
line thus established by said commissioners shall be held and
considered as the dividing line between the said counties of
Wayne and Greene.

the power to choose a fifth person, who shall act as an umpire,
and the decision of a majority shall be final: Provided, A
report of said decision be returned to the next term of the
court of pleas and quarter sessions, for each of said counties,
succeeding the agreement, and confirmed by the same.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, That this act shall be in force

TERMINER IN CASWELL COUNTY.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of theflovernorto
State of North Carolina, and it i8 hereby enacted by the au- ooi.
thority of the sane, That the governor of this State shall issue
a commission of oyer and terminer to one of the judges of the
superior court of law, to try all slaves that may be now con-
fined in the jail of Caswell county, charged -l.i rape or any
other felony, which said court shall be held forthwith; and the
judges shall be clothed with all the powers necessary for the
trial.
