above recited act, be, and dhe same are hereby repealed
any law or usage to the conlrary notwithstanding.

That Mloses L. Brown, Matthias Boger, Alexander V. Buis,
Jeremiah Al. 13rown and William Overman, cormmissioners
for the town of Salisbtiry, and their successors in office
eiosen in the imianner hereiialler provided for, be, and they
are hereby created -1 corporation and body politic, under the
name and title of tIhte C'onnissionors for the town of Salis-
bury, with full power to make by-laws not inconsistent
with the constitution of the State and of the United States :
to contract and be contracted with, to sue and be sued, to
plead and be impleaded bythat name and title ; and they
are hereby invested with all other powers and rights neces-
sary or usually apportaining to municipal corporations.
ee. 2. .nd be it furither enacted, by the authority of afore-
said, Tphat the said Jloses L. Brown, Matthias Boger, Alex-
ander lY. Uis, Jerh. M. Brown and William Overman, shall
contione to hold their oflices, as comnissioners for the town
of Salisbury, until a now eloction for commissioners for said
town shall take place a- hereinalter provided for.
