of Cleaveland, to institute a suit against such treasurer,. in his
own name, for the use of the county aforesaid, in the same manner
that suits are now instituted in similar cases.

An Act to altor the time of electing the county trustee for Guilford
counly.
Be it enactel, That the justices of the court of pleas and quarler
sessions itrGuilford conity, it mnjority being present , shall at Feb-
ruary term of said court next, appoint one good person to act as.
trustee until the A ugust term of said court 1848; and the court shall
annually thereafter appointa trnsiee, hut no person shall he deemed
elected unless he-shnil obtain a majority ofall the votes present,
who shall enter into bond and be governed by, all the, laws relating
to county trustees.
