CHAP. CXXXV1.
An act to amend V act passed in one thousand eight hundred and ten, chapter fifty-seven, entled  4n act to appontm irdnar
sioners for the town of Bath, &c.
BE it enacted by the General Jhsembly of the State of North-Carolina, andit is hereby enacted by the au
thority of the same, That the acting commissioners for the town of Bath in the county of Beetifort, tthall
in future be, and thet are hereby anthorized and empowered to fill all vacancies which have or may by,
pen in the office of commissioner for said town, whether by dath, resignation or refusal to act.
CHAP. OXXXVII.
An acttosuthorize James Moore of the countyof Martin to erectgates on the road leading from Moore's Perry to Moore'a Storein
said county.
BE it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the
thority of the same, That it shall and may be lawful for Jnes Moore of the cnuity of Martiu to erect
two gates on the road leadinig from Moore's Ferry on Roanoke river to Moore's Storeon the road leading
from Plymouth to Williamston.
II. And be it further enacted, That the said Moore shall be entitled to receive of all persons crossift
his ferry and passing said gates, the rate of toll or ferriage as now settled by the county court of Martin.
C HA P.CXXXVIII.
An act directing the manner in which patroles shall in future be appointed in the county of Richmond.
BE it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it hereby enacted by the
aiahorif of the same, Tnat from and after the passing of this act it shall be the duty of the captain or'
qpmmanding officer of each militia company in the county of Richmond, at each company muster, to ap-
point as patroles such number of fit persons as he may think proper, not exceeding ten for each compa-
ut-, whose duty it shall be to perform and do all the duties already enjoined by law on patroles until the suc-
ceeding company muster, any law to the contrary notwits anding.

t -make sale of the lots, and to make titles to the purchasers: and to effect these objects they art herecy de.

and conducive to the promotion of the said town.
