RESOLUTION Won Federal Relations.
1. Resolved, by the  dg'iedture of the Stdte
of  Wi8S.3ipp, That the COnstit ntion of thle:

executive, legislive or judicia l, within its appro-
piiate sphere, jisly withhold from the owners of
slaves that oiltuate potection for ther slave
property to whichl Ithe owners of property of other
kinds nr ontitled, o whieh fromn its nature they
miay a urther require to tcoure then in its posfs-
sion aid ejlij)YIent.
2. That the eleotion of a President of the United
States lbv the votus of one section of the I nio
only o the giround that there exists an Trrco-
cijable confiot between the two sections in refer-
ence to their respective Mystcms of labor and AYith
an avowed pu'srpcso of hritlity to the instituion
of slave er as it prevails i the Southern Stat  and
as reco6gnized by the colnpact of Union, would so
threaten a de-taction of the ends 'or which the
Conslitntion vas formed, as to justify the slave-
holding Stat  an taking consel t1ogdther for their
separate piotection and safet'.
