CHAPTER 15.
A BILL to be entitled an adtmalug certain appropriations therein naned.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of .Mississipi, That the following sums be al-
lowed and paid out of any money in the treasury
not otherwise appropriated, viz:
ArTICLE 1. To J. T. Simns, clerk of the supe-
rior court of chancery, the stul of nine hundred
and ninety-four (ollars and eighty cents, for his fees
in the followhig cases, in which the State was ad-
judged to pay tho'costs, viz: The attorney-general
vs. the Missimsippi railroad company; A. T. Nor-
ton vs. the State; Freeland & Murdock vs. the
State; What-ton, Stearns & Mayes vs. the State;
Conklin vs. the State, and Johnson vs. the
State. [$994 80.]
AnTr. 2. To A. S. Russell the sum of twelve
dollars, for work done on scal and press in the au-
ditor's office. [$12 00.]
ART. 3. To James Welch the sum of twenty
dollars, for interprting in the Choctaw language
for the circuit court of Neshoba county, September
term 1855. [$20 00.]
ART. 4. To Joshua Bartlett the sum of twelve
dollars, in lien of article fifty-five (55) in the appro-
priation bill of 1852, lie having been owner of the
claim previous to the allowance in 1852. [$12 00.]
ART. 5. To J. J. Doty, for articles furnished the
supreme court room, the sum of three dollars and
twenty-five cents. [$3 25.]
Aur. 6. To C. R. Clifton, late clerk of the high
court of errors and appeals, the sum of six hundred
and forty-three dollars and forty-five cents, for fees in
cases in the high court of errors and appeals, where-
in the State was adjudged to pay the costs. [$643,-
45.]
ART. 7. To J. G. & J. B. Morey, for clock reg-
ulator and setting up the same, &c., the sum of
