Hudson to a Turnpike in the county of nica SUchroni 1. Be it enacted by the Legilature of the &tate of Mississippi, That John C. Hudson, his heirs or assigns, be and they are hereby authorized to change the location of a turnpike road from a point designated by an act of the Legislature, passed in this State and approved March 4th, I850, to any other point he or they may elect within two miles of the point now designated by the said act of the 4th March, 1850, and the Board of Police of the county of Tunica shall not grant license to any other person or persons to keep a ferry or toll bridge across Cold Water river, within iwo miles of the crossing of the said John C. Hdfon's turnpike road, and the said John C. Hudson, his heirs or as- signs, be allowed five years longer time to complete his said turnpike road than is ailowed by the act to which this is an amendment. Sc 2. Be it further enacted, That all acts and parts of acts coming in the meaning and pur- view of this act, be and is hereby repealed, and this act take effect and be in force Iom and after its passage. Approved March 1, 1854. CHAPTER 63. AN ACT to be entifled no .et to Increa;e the evenue, of the county of inds. Smacior 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Slate of Mississppi, That from and after the passage of this ict, whenever the Board of County Police of Hinds county shall, in obedience to law, levy the county tax of said county, the said Board, in the exercise of their discretion, may levy and as- sess a county tax, not to exceed in all one hupdred per cent. upon the State tax, and the tax so leied shall be collected according to law, and paid into the treasury, for general county purposes: Provided, that this act shall not be construed in such a manner
