LAWS OF MISSISSIPP.
SEc. 11. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall be in force and take effect from and after its
passage, any laws to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 379.
AN ACT for the relief of Sarah M. Myrick, of Hinds county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Mississippi, That the final judgment of
forfeiture rendered at the April term, 1851, of
the Circuit Court of Hinds county, for the sum of
two hundred and fifty dollars, against Richard A.
Myrick, as surety on the recognizance of James
Myrick, is hereby vacated and set aside, and the
parties to said recognizance absolutely released
therefrom.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall be in force and take effect from and after its
passage.       a

CHAPTER 380.
AN ACT to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the
town of Ripley, in the county of Tippah, approved May 9,1837.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Leg-islature oJ the
State of Mississippi, That the corporate limits of
the said town be enlarged as follows: the extreme
western boundary line of said town as the same
is prescribed in the act to which this is an amend-
ment, shall be extended in a due southerly direc-
tion twenty chains to a stake, thence due east thir-
ty chains and fifty links, more or less, until the
new line shall reach and attach to the extreme
southern boundary line of said town, as the same
is prescribed in the act to which this is an amend-
ment; and the jurisdiction, rights and privileges
conferred on the said incorporation by the act to
which this is an amendment, and by this act, be,
and the same are hereby extended over the tract
of land hereby included within the limits of said
town, and over the citizens thereon, and that such
