it by what name or style so ever called or known.
in the'several acts of amendment or acts supple-
mental to the said first act of incorporation, shall
vest and reside in the Trustees of the Hernando
Female Institute.
SEc. 3. And be it further enacted, That the lot
of ground in the town of Hernando, owned by the
Hernando Male and Female Academy, and origin-
ally intended as a site for the erection of a Female
Seminary of learning, shall be under the entire
control of the Trustees of said Hernando Female
Institute, and that the same shall constitute a part
of the estate of said Institute, and may be sold by
the Trustees thereof, at pleasure, for the benefit of
said Hernando Female Institute.
SEc. 4. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

CHAPTER 377.
AN ACT to be entitled an act to amend an act entitled an act,
to establish Boards of Police, and define their powers and ju-
risdiction, and for other purposes, approved March 2, 1833,
so far as relates to the county of Wilkinson.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by Ike Legislature of
the State of Mississippi, That when any overseer
shall deem it necessary to employ teams and ploughs,
and scrapers on the roads, he may order any per-
son or persons in his division having them, to furn-
ish the same, who shall be entitled to a credit, that
is to say, for each two horse plough and team,
with gears, and hand to manage the same, three
days labor; for each ox plough and team of three
yoke of oxen and two hands to manage the same,
five days labor; for a good and sufficient iron or
steel shod scraper and two horses with a hand to
manage the same, four days labor; for every wag-
gon and four horses, mules or ox team furnished
for the benefit of the road, with a hand to manage
the same, four days labor; and on the refusal or
neglect of such person or persons to furnish the
same as ordered by the overseer, he, she or they,
shall be fined not. less than five dollars nor more
than eight dollars for each days refusal or neglect
