SEC. 2.. Be it further enacted, That this act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. Approved February 9,1848. CHAPTER 292. AN ACT for the relief of William B. Cavanah. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of police of Lowndes county be, and they are hereby authori- zed to make an appropriation from their county funds to compensate William B. Cavanah, for assessing the county taxes of said county for the years 1846 and 1847. SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take. effect and be in force from and after its passage.
