CHAPTER 63.
AN ACT to repeal an act to prohibit the introduction of slaves into
this State as merchandize, or for sale, approved May 13, 1837.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of lississippi, That an act entitled an act to
prohibit the introduction of slaves into this State as
merchandize or for sale, approved May 13, 1837, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the several

ual or individuals, for a violation of the provisions
of the above recited act, in the payment, by the de-

shall be in force and take effect from and after its
passage.
