Be it further enacted, That the police Police of court of Rankin county shall levy a special tax, Ran.ino to defray the expense of building a jail for said county. § 4. Be it enacted by the legislature of the state of Jilississippi, That the act heretofore passed incorporating the town of Louisville be, and Repeal. the same is hereby repealed ; and that the cor- porate limits of the town of Louisville shall commence at the court house, running north one-quarter of a mile; thence cast, half a mile; thence south, half a mile; thence west, one mile ; thence north, half a mile ; thehce east, half a mile. § 2. Be it further enacted, That all the free n white male inhabitants, of said town, of the powers .genf n privi- age of twenty-one years, and upwards, beinglege. 283
