Be it enacted by the Legislature Oflooards of the State of Mississippi, That there shall be estab- Police es lished in each county in this state a board of police, tIblished. to consist of five members, a majority of whom shall constitute a quorum to transact business, who shall be elected on the first Monday and day fol- lowing in May next and continue in office until the first Monday in November, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, and until their successors are duly qualified.
