Ii Be it enacted by the qenate and House of Representatives of the State of Misssippi, in General .ssembly convened, That the follow- ing claims be allowed and paid out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated: To John Slocumb, assessor and collector of taxes for the county of Franklin, the sum of nineteen dol- lars and sixty-eight cents. 'To Lyddall Wilkinson, forbuilding an office for Secretary of State, the sum of three hundred and Ifty-three dollars and nineteen cents. To James Hunley, sheriff of Wayne county, for his fees in the case of the state vs. John Nichol- son and Henry Gavin, the sum of twenty-nine dollars and eighty cents. To Landy Lindsey, the sum of fifty dollars, for furnishing brick and building chimney to the of- fice of Secretary of State. To iDillerd Collins and Joseph Pierce, the sum of fifty dollars, each, as an additional compensa- tion for distributing the acts of Congress, for the year eighteen hundred and twenty-eight. To Dillerd Collins, the sum of twenty-five dol- lars, for services rendered the House of Repre- sentatives at its present session, as sergeant at arms. To Thos. M'Dowell, jailor of Amite county, for the sustenance of sundry prisoners, the sum of one hundred and ninety-five dollars and ninety cents. To John Connel, sheriff of Wilkinson county, for the commitment, sustenance and release of John Doe, and Peter McKinzee, prisoners, &e.
