CHAP. LXIV.
AN ACT, making appropriations to certain persons therein named.
Sec. Ii Be it enacted by the qenate and House
of Representatives of the State of Misssippi,
in General .ssembly convened, That the follow-
ing claims be allowed and paid out of any money
in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated: To
John Slocumb, assessor and collector of taxes for
the county of Franklin, the sum of nineteen dol-
lars and sixty-eight cents.
'To Lyddall Wilkinson, forbuilding an office for
Secretary of State, the sum of three hundred and
Ifty-three dollars and nineteen cents.
To James Hunley, sheriff of Wayne county, for
his fees in the case of the state vs. John Nichol-
son and Henry Gavin, the sum of twenty-nine
dollars and eighty cents.
To Landy Lindsey, the sum of fifty dollars, for
furnishing brick and building chimney to the of-
fice of Secretary of State.
To iDillerd Collins and Joseph Pierce, the sum
of fifty dollars, each, as an additional compensa-
tion for distributing the acts of Congress, for the
year eighteen hundred and twenty-eight.
To Dillerd Collins, the sum of twenty-five dol-
lars, for services rendered the House of Repre-
sentatives at its present session, as sergeant at
arms.
To Thos. M'Dowell, jailor of Amite county, for
the sustenance of sundry prisoners, the sum of one
hundred and ninety-five dollars and ninety cents.
To John Connel, sheriff of Wilkinson county,
for the commitment, sustenance and release of
John Doe, and Peter McKinzee, prisoners, &e.
