LXVII. .A RESOLUTION concurring -in the resolution frota Georgia. Resolved, by the Senate and House of Representa. lives of the State of JVMississippi in General Assem- 'blyconvened, That the Legislature of the state of Mississippi concur in the amendment to the *constitution of the United States, proposed by the Legislature of the state of Georgia, which is, in the following words, to wit: That no part of the Constitution of the United States ,ought to be construed, or shall be construed, to authorize the importation or ingress -of aniy person of colour into any one of the United States, contrary to the laws of said state. Resolved, Thathis Excellency, the-Governor, be, and he is hereby requested. to communicate this resolution to the Governors of the different states. with a request, that the same may be submitted to their respective Legislatures; and that he do also, communicate the same, to ouc Senators and Representative in Congress.
